Join with Meritrust in celebrating those who champion wellness in our communities! Honor a wellness advocate in your life by nominating them for the Byron G. Stout IV Spotlight on Wellness Award. Nominations are welcome now through Feb. 9, 2025.

Meritrust is proud to honor the memory of our beloved champion of wellness, Byron Stout IV, with the Byron G. Stout IV Spotlight on Wellness Award. Byron’s passion for wellness, concern for others and the positive example he displayed in his life inspired Team Meritrust and those in our community. Byron was committed to the pillars of wellness (physical, emotional, financial, community) and encouraged others to live balanced, happy lives.

This award recognizes one individual annually who is making changes that inspire all areas of wellness in the workplace and in the community.


Award Timeline

  • Nominations are due Feb. 9, 2025
  • The nominee will receive a brief application via email, which must be submitted no later than Feb. 24, 2025.
  • The award winner will be contacted by Mar. 3, 2025
  • The winner will be announced and recognized April 8, 2025 at the 2025 Working Well Conference.

Award Criteria

The nominee must be:
  • Employed within Sedgwick County to qualify (this does not have to be an HR or wellness role.)
The nominee must be someone who is:
  • A trailblazer who is pushing for new, bold initiatives in his or her organization.
  • Passionate about all areas of wellness and motivates others. Walks the walk, not just talking the talk. Sets a positive example.
  • Involved in the community.
  • Putting employees first; it may benefit the bottom line, but employee health and life balance is the ultimate goal and first priority. Their company puts priority in senior leadership’s involvement with the wellness program.
